Wound care can be complicated—especially when a wound remains open, repeatedly becomes infected, or fails to improve with standard treatment. The problem may involve multiple bacteria or fungi, and choosing medication without knowing which organisms are present can lead to more trial and error.

When available, we review culture or molecular diagnostic results to help the provider identify the organisms involved and select appropriate medications. We can then prepare a customized gel, cream, solution, or powder based on the test results and the needs of the wound.
